‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ Final Trailer: Galactus Emerges
The final trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps gives us a proper look at the film’s antagonist played by Ralph Ineson.
After 20th Century Fox’s acquisition by Disney in March 2019, a new reboot for Marvel’s first family was announced in July of that year. After Spider-Man director Jon Watts stepped down, WandaVision director Matt Shakman took on the role which worked out perfectly for the film’s eventual retro-futuristic ‘60s theme that acts as a tribute to Jack Kirby’s work on the characters.
The cast was announced on Valentine’s Day in 2024 with a themed poster. The confirmed cast was Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm. This film kicks off the beginning of the final Multiverse Saga phase, Phase 6 and is the final Marvel film for an entire year until Spider-Man: Brand New Day on July 31st, 2026.
The teaser trailer premiered on February 4th, 2025, just a few days before the annual Super Bowl. In this teaser, we got our first introduction to this alternative universe and its world design, the trailer touched on the team’s origin story through footage on TV, and it introduced us to both the Fantastic Four’s robot assistant, HERBIE and one of their greatest foes, Galactus.
The official trailer premiered on April 17th, 2025 and highlighted how the world adores the team, as well as revealing Sue’s pregnancy. This trailer also introduced Galactus’ herald Shalla-Bal aka The Silver Surfer (Julia Garner), who announces that the planet is marked for death and teases Galactus’ arrival on earth.
Today with the film exactly one month away, the final trailer has been released which you can view below:

What Happens In ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ Final Trailer?
The trailer opens with a close-up of each team member, followed by the announcer on the Ted Gilbert Show. The team gets an alert and we cut to a new scene of Reed stretching to escape an explosion. Sue and Johnny also have new scenes with their powers. While Ben is walking down the street, a fan asks him to “say the line” which he doesn’t want to, saying it’s something from the cartoon.
Johnny draws the number four in the sky, and we cut to the team on the balcony of the Baxter building getting ready for dinner. Before they head insid,e another alert is played. We then see the sky turn orange with The Silver Surfer coming down, the residents of New York are in Times Square seeing Shalla-Bal on TV and we cut to a glimpse of Galactus’ ship. We cut to the team arriving on his ship and meeting him for the first time.
We see the team escape an asteroid field and see a glimpse of Sue with Franklin. The team discusses how to take on Galactus, Ben suggests crushing him which Johnny agrees with. The team drive the FantastiCar and we see a shot of Galactus walking through the streets. After a montage of the team we see devices shooting beams into the sky. We see some more shots of the team.
The tagline “Their Greatest Strength is Each Other” is shown, we then get a scene of Johnny convincing a bearded Ben to say the “It’s Clobbering Time” line, which he constantly refuses. Following some more action shots of the team displaying their powers as they fight Galactus.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps is directed by Matt Shakman and stars Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, Julia Garner as The Silver Surfer, and Ralph Ineson as Galactus. The film hits theaters on July 25th.
