Mike begins his final job, ripping off the transport of jewels from Antwerp to Los Angeles ahead of a wedding of one of Sharon’s wealthy clients. Sharon, dissatisfied with her employer, provided the information to Mike, but soon regrets her decision after Ormon brutally interrogates her for the information and tells Lou, who, already suspended, plans to intercept the interception. At the airport, Mike assumes the identity of the chauffeur for the transport, and soon, unbeknownst to Mike, Mike is transporting Lou into a hotel where the client awaits.

Meanwhile, Ormon figures his own way into the hotel, assuming the identity of a waiter. Now in the room, Mike holds Lou, the client and his fiancée at gunpoint. He instructs Lou to open the case, and the fiancée to load cash from the safe into a bag. Lou grabs a gun that is prepared inside the case and begins a stand-off with Mike. Ormon then enters the room and holds Mike and Lou at gunpoint. He shoots the client, and just as he is about to fire at Lou, Mike shoots and kills Ormon, violating his no-violence rule in order to save Lou. Lou, realising this and also dissatisfied with his job, tells Mike to leave and frames Ormon as the 101 Robber.

Paying off other threads in the movie, an ending sequence plays out with Mike leaving as instructed by Lou, driving by the beachfront of California. He mails a picture of himself as a child in 1994 to his now ex-girlfriend Maya (Monica Barbaro), proving he does hold onto possessions. In one final scene, at a yoga studio, Sharon shows Lou one final message from Mike, an address and a parking lot number. It turns out that Mike gave Lou his dark green Ford Mustang as a thank you, paying off Lou’s desire for wanting a Mustang since childhood. Lou drives it out of the garage and the movie fades to white.
