Seeing an opportunity, Russ uses make-up and prosthetics to go undercover and go back to his prime playing college football for another team, under the goofball moniker Chad Powers. The series was renewed barely a month ago by Hulu, but now the series is officially in production from showrunners Michael Waldron and Glen Powell, the latter of which also stars in the project.
Stars Perry Mattfeld, Quentin Plair, Wynn Everett, Frankie A. Rodriguez and Steve Zahn are expected to return in the second season.
What Will ‘Chad Powers’ Season 2 Be About?

In an interview with Variety, Glen Powell expressed that it was a make-or-break for him to include the University of Texas in the series, stating, “It’s a make-or-break thing for me that the University of Texas be included. I told Waldron, ‘If I have to support the UGA football program and not the University of Texas one more time, I’m gonna break.’” This implies that the University of Texas will make an appearance in the second season.
What Will The ‘Chad Powers’ Season 2 Episodes Be Titled?
The premiere title of the season has also been announced, set to be titled “7th Quarter”, implying a direct connection to that explosive finale from last season. Subsequent episodes will likely be titled “8th Quarter”, “9th Quarter” and so on.
