Before Captain America: Brave New World soars to theatres in 2025, a new trailer has been released during the Marvel panel at D23 Brazil.
Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) first made his debut as the star spangled hero in the series finale of Falcon And The Winter Soldier. Sam’s first foray as the titular hero, Captain America: Brave New World was first announced when Malcolm Spellman and Dalan Musson were confirmed to be writing a new Captain America film in April 2021. A little over a year later, Julius Onah was announced as the director for the film.
Later that month, the film would get its first official title Captain America: New World Order. Filming began in Atlanta, Georgia from March 2023 to June 2023. In September 2022, it was announced that Tim Blake Nelson would reprise his role as Samuel Sterns from 2008’s The Incredible Hulk. The following year we would be given a behind the scenes look of the film from Anthony Mackie where we learned that the film was renamed to Captain America: Brave New World.
In December 2023, Matthew Orton was brought on to write the script for reshoots which began in May 2024. The teaser trailer for the film was released on September 23rd 2024 which showcased the thrilling adventure ahead for our new captain alongside his partner, The Falcon (Danny Ramirez). The trailer ended with a sneak peek of the Red Hulk (Harrison Ford) who would later be revealed in full during the Celebrating 85 Years of Marvel promotional video.
Today during the Marvel Studios’ panel at D23 Brasil, a new trailer was released. You can view the trailer below:

What Happens In The Trailer?
The trailer begins with a conversation between Isaiah Bradley (Carl Lumbly) and Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) following the assassination attempt seen inter-cut throughout the footage. We get some new looks at Sam and Joaquin Torres (Danny Ramirez) an attack on the Tiamut island last seen in Eternals. At the end of this trailer we get to see Harrison Ford’s Thaddeus Ross Red-Hulk-out during a press conference at the white house, climaxing with a showdown between him and Sam in Washington DC.
The synopsis is as follows:
Anthony Mackie returns as the high-flying hero Sam Wilson, who’s officially taken up the mantle of Captain America. After meeting with newly elected U.S. President Thaddeus Ross, Sam finds himself in the middle of an international incident. He must discover the reason behind a nefarious global plot before the true mastermind has the entire world seeing red.
Captain America: Brave New World is directed by Julius Onah and stars Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson / Captain America, Danny Ramirez as Joaquín Torres / The Falcon, Harrison Ford as Thaddeus Ross / Red Hulk, Tim Blake Nelson as Samuel Sterns / The Leader, and more. The film hits theatres on February 14th, 2025.
