Brad Pitt Was In Talks For ‘The Batman Part II’ Role Before Declining
Brad Pitt, fresh off F1 The Movie, reportedly had conversations about The Batman Part II.
Brad Pitt, one of the most acclaimed actors of his generation, was reportedly in talks for a The Batman Part II role before ultimately passing on it.
The rumour has been floating around for a while now that Brad Pitt, who most recently appeared in F1 The Movie, was in talks for one of two roles that are currently casting for a middle-aged A-lister. It seems he passed because of its schedule, at least according to a report from The InSneider’s Jeff Sneider. The Hollywood Reporter’s latest issue of the Heat Vision newsletter also confirmed that Pitt will not star in the film.

This isn’t the first A-lister to decline a role in The Batman Part II, with Bugonia‘s Emma Stone recently passing on a role later swept in on by Scarlett Johansson. It’s cool to think that in another world we would have a The Batman Part II starring Robert Pattinson, Brad Pitt, and Scarlett Johansson.

Whilst many think Pitt was never in content, director Matt Reeves has gone on record on working with Pitt’s production company Plan B Entertainment, saying they “put together a crew” for the sequel. This is noteworthy as Reeves had never worked with Plan B before saying this.
Pitt will next star in David Fincher’s The Adventures of Cliff Booth, written by Quentin Tarantino. He is set to film Edward Berger’s The Riders in January 2026 and Ocean’s Fourteen alongside George Clooney. If Pitt were to double back, there could be room in his schedule for The Batman Part II, which is set to start filming in May 2026.

The Batman Part II stars Robert Pattinson, Scarlett Johansson, Colin Farrell, Jeffrey Wright, Andy Serkis, and Barry Keoghan. The film is directed by Matt Reeves, with cinematography by Erik Messerschmidt and is expected to begin production in May 2026.
