'A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms' Episode Lengths Revealed

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is the latest project set in the Game of Thrones franchise—here are the episode lengths, titles, and descriptions for the series.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms follows Game of Thrones and House of the Dragon to be the third show set in the Game of Thrones universe. The series is set about 72 years after the events of House of the Dragon but around 90 years before Game of Thrones.

The series is based on George R.R. Martin’s Dunk & Egg novellas. The first is an adaptation of the first novella, The Hedge Knight. As of right now, there are 3 novellas, so expect at least 3 seasons. It releases on both HBO and HBO Max.

Here is the logline for the series:

A century before the events of “Game of Thrones,” two unlikely heroes wandered Westeros… a young, naïve but courageous knight, Ser Duncan the Tall, and his diminutive squire, Egg. Set in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne, and the memory of the last dragon has not yet passed from living memory, great destinies, powerful foes, and dangerous exploits all await these improbable and incomparable friends.

The series is created by Ira Parker and George R.R. Martin. Ira serves as the showrunner for the series.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is tied with Season 8 of Game of Thrones for the lowest episode count of any Game of Thrones universe season. On the flipside, Game of Thrones season 8 was still nearly 423 minutes (7h 3m) long, so all things considered, season 1 of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is considerably shorter.

Do keep in mind that this show is based on a novella, so the runtimes are more apt for the story it’s telling.

Here is the total and average runtime of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms:

Total Runtime: 208 Minutes (3h 28m)
