‘Gremlins 3’ Releases First Teaser Revealing Release Date Delay
Warner Bros. has released the first teaser for Gremlins 3, with the caveat of a one year film delay.
Gremlins 3 is officially on the way with studio Warner Bros. setting a new release date for the upcoming third instalment in Joe Dante’s iconic comedy-thriller franchise.
Releasing a teaser announced the release date, the short clip sees a Mogwai, seemingly Gizmo, in a school bag as he giggles teasing the upcoming mischief that he and his friends will get up to. Watch it below:
The film has been delayed from November 2027 nearly a full year to October 6, 2028.
Gremlins, released in 1984 from director Joe Dante, followed Billy Peltzer, a boy who is gifted a Mogwai, and after accidentally breaking the entrusted three rules (no coming in contact with water, no feeding after midnight, and no sunlight or it will die) he unleashes a panic as the Gremlins multiply and turn evil.
The third film in the franchise is directed by Chris Columbus, who returns to the franchise after penning the original script in the ’80s. Alongside Columbus, Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein co-write the film.
No casting details have been shared, though it is expected Howie Mandel will return to voice Gizmo.
