Following years of speculation and months of filming, fans can possibly expect the Court of Owls to appear in The Batman Part II.
A new report from YouTuber BobaTalks alleges that The Batman Part II filmed a party sequence with people wearing masks. He reports that he learned the information from a friend, who spoke with someone who was allegedly on set during the filming dates for said sequence.
Though he cannot confirm if they were owl masks, the idea of a party with masked guests, or more commonly known as a masquerade, is synonymous with secret societies and often aligned with ideas of ritualism. In the 21st century, this idea largely stems from conspiracy theories and the 1999 film Eyes Wide Shut, starring Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman.

The YouTuber also clarified in another video that the source of information is highly reliable, as to negate any discussion about the validity of it as a secondary source.
The idea of a party, specifically a New Year’s Eve party (given the setting and timeline of the film), has been circulating for a while online, with background actors and extras stating on IMDB that they are credited as Party Goers.
Spotted on set in London this week included a protest sign that states “Court of Fowls” with a set of talons, clearly referencing the infamous DC Comics secret society. It could also serve as a double entendre, with court of fowls itself a phrase stemming from the expression “in a court of fowls a cockroach never wins a case” which means to never expect justice from a biased court system. This meaning would match other set photos, where other protest signs criticize Gotham’s oligarchy.

The Batman Part II stars Robert Pattinson, Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Brian Tyree Henry, Charles Dance, Andy Serkis, Colin Farrell, Barry Keoghan, Sebastian Koch, and more.
