Netflix Releases First Teaser for Danny Boyle’s ‘Ink’
Danny Boyle is back with another feature, this time telling the story of The Sun and its creators Larry Lamb and Rupert Murdoch.
Netflix has released the first teaser trailer for Danny Boyle’s Ink ahead of its world premiere later today at the Venice International Film Festival in Italy. Watch it below:
Directed by Danny Boyle, who reunites with Jack O’Connell following 28 Years Later, Ink follows the two men, Larry Lamb and Rupert Murdoch, who revitalize the British tabloid paper, The Sun, and turn it into Britain’s most influential and infamous newspaper ever, starting the media company that would later be known as News Corp. The synopsis reads as follows:
An explosive cinematic rollercoaster about a group of visionaries and misfits who had an idea for a new kind of news – one that would give the people what they want and would change the face of the world we live in today

Netflix also unveiled posters for the film, one focused on Jack O’Connell’s Larry Lamb, one on Guy Pearce’s Rupert Murdoch, and one on Claire Foy’s Jules Davis, with a fourth one featuring all three cast members. The tagline? “They broke the news.”
Ink debuts today at the Venice Film Festival in Venice, Italy, and will hit US soil on December 11th in select theatres, before releasing on Netflix in January 2027.
