‘Chad Powers’ Season 2 Ending Explained: How Does Tricia Know Chad’s Identity?
Chad Powers is finally back and with it, bigger stakes, more action, and an explosive ending! Find out the Chad Powers Season 2 Ending Explained.
The second season of Chad Powers is finally out following a year-long wait since the freshman outing of Glen Powell’s charismatic but goofy football-playing catfish. With all episodes now streaming on Hulu, many viewers may be confused as to what exactly happened in that explosive sixth episode, titled “12th Quarter”.
Chad Powers follows disgraced college football player Russ Holiday (Glen Powell) as he as he decides to get back into his one true passion, using makeup to create a disguise, the lovable but dumb Chad Powers, and helps bring the Catfishes to glory along with Coach Ricky Hudson (Perry Mattfield) and Coach Jake Hudson (Steve Zahn).
Chad Powers is a superstar on the field but his odd behavior off it has everyone suspicious – especially Coach Hudson and Gerry. Ricky knows the truth, but if Russ and Danny want Chad to survive the regular season and lead the Catfish to the College Football Playoff, she’s their only hope.
How Does Russ & Ricky Loophole Gerry’s Plan?

Russ, in an effort to stop Gerry, meets him at a movie theatre (which is playing Edward Scissorhands, for some reason) and declares that he wants Russ to abide by six rules in his upcoming playoff game, ultimately losing and making everyone hate him like everyone hates Gerry. That is an indirect callback to Russ messing up his game at the Rose Bowl, failing his team and fans.
Once Ricky finds this out halfway through the game, Russ/Chad and Ricky decide to let other members of the team shine by changing tactics and soon secure the win.
How Does Tricia Know About Chad Powers’ Real Identity?
Whilst celebrating, Tricia’s bodyguard Chricia congratulates him and directly addresses him by name. Tricia (Wynn Everett) thanks him over the phone, and in a car elsewhere, she and Danny (Frankie A. Rodriguez) converse. It is revealed subtextually that Danny told Tricia about Chad, who promises to keep his identity secret and help them by relocating them and their makeup lab to her ranch.
Now Ricky, Danny, Russ’s father, Tricia, and Chricia, as well as Gerry, know that Chad Powers is not who he says he is.

That Explosive Final Kiss
The final scene of the finale showcases Ricky and Russ confessing their love for each other and kissing, which damages Russ’s Chad Powers makeup. While they are kissing, a door opens and in the doorway stands a man (presumably Coach Jake) whilst Russ and his damage makeup look the other way. The scene promptly ends and the credits roll.
Does ‘Chad Powers’ Season 2 Have A Post-Credit Scene?
No, Chad Powers Season 2 does not have a post-credit scene.
