‘The Punisher: One Last Kill’ Special Presentation Set For May 2026
Before his appearance in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Frank Castle will return in his own special presentation.
Ahead of the season two premiere of Daredevil: Born Again, Marvel has officially announced their Frank Castle / The Punisher focused special presentation which is set for a May 2026 release. The Punisher: One Last Kill marks the third Special Presentation from Marvel following Michael Giacchino’s Werewolf By Night and James Gunn’s The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special which both premiered back in 2022.
The Special Presentation was first pitched by Punisher actor Jon Bernthal during the filming of Daredevil: Born Again Season One and Brad Winderbaum later confirmed development in February 2025. Reinaldo Marcus Green directed the special with Green and Bernthal handling the writing following their previous work on King Richard and We Own This City. Fast forward to today when Marvel reveals the release schedule for Daredevil: Born Again Season Two which features our first look at the now titled The Punisher: One Last Kill Special Presentation set to premiere on May 12th, a week after the Born Again Season 2 finale.

Following the reveal, we also have the official synopsis for the upcoming Special Presentation which you can read below:
“As Frank Castle searches for meaning beyond revenge, an unexpected force pulls him back into the fight.”
At the time of writing, only Jon Bernthal is cast however set photos have revealed that Roe Rancell, Jason R. Moore and Mila Jaymes are involved in the special as well.

The Punisher: One Last Kill is directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green and stars Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle / The Punisher. The Special Presentation premieres on Disney+ on May 12th.
