‘EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert’ Digital Release Date Reportedly Revealed

It has been four years since Baz Luhrmann released Elvis to critical praise and a near Best Actor Academy Award win for star Austin Butler, now Luhrmann continues his exploration of the legendary musician Elvis Presley in his documentary-concert film EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert.

The film was created as a continuation of the production of Elvis, where new recordings, unrestored footage, and interviews were dug up to be used in the film, but instead led the director to uncover hours of unseen footage of the King of Rock and Roll.

The synopsis for the film reads as follows:

EPiC features long-lost footage from Presley’s legendary Las Vegas residency in the 1970s, woven together with rare 16mm footage from Elvis on Tour, and precious 8mm from the Graceland archive, plus recordings of Elvis telling “his side of the story” rediscovered during Luhrmann’s research for his Best Picture Oscar-nominated 2022 film Elvis.

When Does ‘EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert’ Arrive on Digital?

Now, following a first week in exclusively IMAX, the film has an alleged digital and PVOD release date. According to website DVDs Release Dates, EPiC: Elvis Presley in Concert will arrive on digital and premium video on demand on March 31st, 2025. This is about five weeks after its theatrical debut, meaning the film will not meet a 45 day theatrical exclusivity period, which is somewhat normal for US distributor Neon.

Luhrmann is known for his elaborately planned films (such as Moulin Rouge and The Great Gatsby) with his status as an auteur being a strong draw for audiences, who turned out en masse for Elvis back in 2022.
