‘Fortnite’ X ‘Solo Leveling’ First Look & Sung Jinwoo Cup

The world of Solo Leveling: Arise arrives with Sung Jinwoo and Igris coming to the Fortnite Item Shop later this week.

Earlier this week, Fortnite began their usual teasing for their next upcoming collaboration. It began on Monday when the official Fortnite pages tweeted out the follow message:

The weakest Hunter of all mankind.

E-rank.

No potential.

No future…

By the first two lines alone many instantly realised that this was a teaser for a Solo Leveling collaboration with Fortnite and the teasing continued later that day with another cryptic message, “If you were given another path, would you accept?”

Solo Leveling follows Sung Jinwoo dubbed “The weakest Hunter of all mankind” in a world where Hunters protect the planet from invading creatures. One day after trying to make his big break, Jinwoo is found in a high ranking dungeon that costs the lives of many of his party members but before he meets a fatal end, he’s given a second chance of life by an entity known as The System. The System allows Jinwoo to “level up” allowing him to power himself up and unlock new abilities. Using this new found power, he climbs the ranks and becomes one of the greatest hunters of all time.

The next day we got our first promotional video for the collaboration which you can view below:

The teaser is a reference to the mysterious System mentioned above, it says “NOTIFICATION, You have acquired the qualifications to be a Fortnite Player. Will you accept?” The video ends with the player choosing the “Yes” option. This brings us to today, Wednesday February 18th where we now have our first look at outfits for Sung Jinwoo and Igris in a new video which you can view below:

The new promo shows opens with a shot of Sung Jinwoo’s hand (in real life), the word “ARISE” pops up on screen before we switch to in-game where Jinwoo uses his “Shadow Extraction” skill on Knight Commander Igris, he’s successful and Igris is now one of his shadow soldiers.
