After debuting its first season last year, Paradise is back for round 2, and this time the story isn’t confined to the world of the bunker. Season 1 told two stories, one in the present, of a Secret Service agent (played by Sterling K. Brown) who finds the body of the President Cal Bradford (James Marsden), and the other, an extinction level event that leads to the world’s elite relocating to safety in a bunker inside of a mountain called Paradise, that is essentially the world outside recreated.
Season 2 will pick up with the same secret service agent, Xavier Collins, as he journeys beyond Paradise in search of his wife, encountering people who survived the extinction-level event (referred to as The Day). Meanwhile, social life in Paradise will be straining. Read the logline:
Xavier searches for Teri (Enuka Okuma) out in the world and learns how people survived the three years since The Day. Back in Paradise, the social fabric frays as the bunker deals with the aftermath of Season 1, and new secrets are uncovered about the city’s origins.
