‘Wonder Man’ Episode 3 Ending Explained
We’ll discuss the ending of the third episode of Marvel Television’s Wonder Man.
Wonder Man follows the journey of Simon Williams (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) starring in the remake of his favorite film Wonder Man. During his rise to stardom he befriends Trevor Slattery (Ben Kingsley) who’s widely known as portraying The Mandarin during the events of Iron Man 3 and runs into trouble with the Department of Damage Control as Agent Cleary (Arian Moayed) keeps close watch on Simon and his secret.

Aspiring Hollywood actor Simon Williams is struggling to get his career off the ground. During a chance meeting with Trevor Slattery, an actor whose biggest roles may be well behind him, Simon learns legendary director Von Kovak is remaking the superhero film “Wonder Man.” These two actors at opposite ends of their careers doggedly pursue life-changing roles in this film as audiences get a peek behind the curtain of the entertainment industry.
Today marks the premiere of Marvel Television’s Wonder Man with all eight episodes now streaming on Disney+. We’ll recap the third episode of the series and discuss the ending.
What Happens At The End Of Wonder Man Episode 3?

On the last episode of Wonder Man, Simon was tasked with filming a self-tape for an indie film to get on Wonder Man casting director Ruth Bakshi’s good side. Meanwhile, Trevor was tasked with giving the Department of Damage Control access to Simon’s laptop. Both were unsuccessful at first but by the end of the day Simon managed to film his self tape at his apartment, Trevor also managed to secretly access Simon’s files and learn that Simon does have superpowers.
The third episode titled “Pacoima” opens with a flashback where a young Simon was injured in a kitchen fire, the doctor reveals Simon is perfectly fine leading the viewers to believe the kitchen fire was a cover-up for Simon’s powers going haywire; it also implies that Simon has had his powers from a young age. In Present Day we learn that the Department of Damage Control is in trouble as the SuperMax Prison isn’t being fully utilised, and the government sees this as wasted funding. Trevor is tasked with finding out about Simon through his family and is given a wire to record conversations. The opportunity arises when Simon has to go to his hometown of Pacoima for his mom’s birthday, Trevor tags along as his “buffer” for conversations.
The party goes on, and Trevor is mingling with the guests looking for information, he even digs around the house but is unsuccessful thus far. Trevor finds Simon’s mom in the kitchen, she tells him a bit about Simon and how he’s been alone. We can see that Trevor feels a bit guilty after Martha says she’s glad that Simon has a friend now. Eric and Simon get into a fight causing Simon to destroy part of his mom’s kitchen, he and Trevor leave immediately after. Simon and Trevor get to talking revealing that his family knows about his powers and he doesn’t know how he got them.
At the end of the episode, after their conversation, Trevor steps out to dispose of the SD card which has a recording of everything Simon just revealed. Trevor also called Simon a sensitive guy earlier in the episode, implying that he doesn’t want to get Simon in trouble. When Trevor goes back to the car, Simon appears worried and then tells Trevor some good news as they both got callbacks for Wonder Man, Simon.
