'Pluribus' Episode 5: Patrick Fabian Cameo Explained

If you can believe it, we are over halfway through the first season of Pluribus, and the mystery of where the show is headed still weighs heavily over audiences. The show’s fifth episode, “Got Milk”, continues this trend, diving further into the loneliness of Carol Sturka (Rhea Seehorn) following the alien takeover by The Others, a happy set of extraterrestrials.

This article contains spoilers for Pluribus Episode 5.

In the episode, following Carol’s attempt to learn how to reverse the hivemind invasion through Zosia (Karolina Wydra), The Others distance themselves from Carol by abandoning her town. They still monitor and help her from a distance, though it’s made clear in a voice message phone recording. This voice recording is voiced by an unnamed Other, played by none other than Patrick Fabian.

As with Rhea Seehorn, Pluribus marks the second collaboration between Fabian and series creator Vince Gilligan, following their roles as series regulars on Better Call Saul. In Better Call Saul, Fabian played Howard Hamlin, an owner and lawyer for the law firm in which Jimmy McGill’s (Bob Odenkirk) brother Chuck (Michael McKean) co-owns and Jimmy works at briefly. Rhea Seehorn also starred in that show, as Jimmy McGill’s partner in crime and love interest, lawyer Kim Wexler.

You can watch the voice message from Fabian below, which Apple TV released on social media for fans to see:

A phone number is also included, which also provides the same message when you call it.
