‘Marvel Rivals’ Season 5 Gambit Reveal Trailer

Remy LeBeau, better known as Gambit is Marvel Rivals’ 45th character and his role is not what you’d expect. Immediately after the Season 5 reveal trailer, marketing for the new season began ramping up with Volume 11 of the Marvel Rivals Dev Vision hosted by Creative Director Guangguang. Starting things off, Guangguang discussed the upcoming hero, Gambit who to the surprise of many is the latest Strategist coming to the game on November 14th. The 45th hero’s skills and abilities will be used to heal, cleanse debuffs and buff allies while giving enemies effects such as anti-heal. When it comes to his Ultimate, he sends “kinetic-charged aces” to his allies which increase their jumping capabilities as well as buffing their damage.

Later that day, the character trailer for Gambit was released which showcased his new abilities even further. You can view the trailer below:

During Gambit’s character trailer, we see that he has 275 HP and launches 3 cards at a time as his primary attack with a maximum ammo count of 21 cards before having to reload. Additionally, by the crosshair you can see 4 cards that will replenish during the course of the match, these are used for two of his abilities. Another ability allows him to slam his kinetic energy-infused staff to the ground, this move has two charges with a cooldown. Similarly, he also has a dash with two charges that also have cooldown. One of his card abilities allows him to launch a playing card that bounces between his allies to heal them, similarly he can launch cards at enemies.

Another card ability can also do a sweeping attack to damage multiple enemies. These abilities are represented by a Heart Card and Spade Card, likely indicating that those heal and deal damage respectively. His ultimate appears to heal allies within range and applies cards to them giving them increased jump height and a damage boost.
