‘Marvel Rivals’ Season 5 Trailer: Love Is In The Air

Gambit and Rogue prepare for their wedding in the latest Marvel Rivals season but what happens next is beyond anything they could imagine.

The official trailer for Marvel Rivals Season 5 is here, featuring our latest heroes, Rogue and Gambit of the X-Men. The duo was teased as early as last Wednesday when eagle-eyed fans noticed that our first look at the characters was shown in the thumbnail of the latest patch notes, “Marvel Rivals Version 20251106 Patch Notes.”

After some radio silence, we got our first image for the upcoming season in the form of an invite for Anna Marie (Rogue) and Remy LeBeau (Gambit)’s wedding, which teased the upcoming trailer. You can view the image below:

Today we’ve finally arrived at our first trailer for Season 5 which is titled “Love Is A Battlefield”, you can view the trailer below:

What Happens in the Marvel Rivals Season 5 Trailer?

The trailer opens with the Marvel Games and NetEase Games logos and continues with a wide shot of a wedding altar set on Krakoa. Wolverine is seen fixing Gambit’s bowtie. He asks “You sure you’re making the right choice Bub?” Gambit responds, “Not a doubt, Mon Amie”. In the background, we see our first look at Cyclops. We cut to Rogue on a motorcycle and Gambit continues “I’m free to be myself but somehow she manages to keep me grounded”. We cut to Gambit hugging Rogue’s leg and he says “She’s my whole world”.

We see Emma smiling at Rogue in her wedding gown, Magneto casts doubts and says “You know how troubled his past is, yet you still chose him”. We cut to Rogue and Gambit hugging followed by her bursting with green energy. She says “Course I did, Remy’s always been there for me, no matter what”. We see Gambit opening the box containing the wedding ring, Magneto continues “Let us hope that stays true.” Rogue is then seen walking down the aisle and Magneto says “in the chaos to come”. A heavy rain begins, Gambit and Rogue rush towards each other, Gambit is seen trying to put the ring on Rogue’s finger but it’s transported by the Timestream Entanglement.

We see a stained glass art piece featuring Gambit and Rogue, a glitching effect appears cycling through various couples such as Cloak & Dagger, Wanda & Venom, Storm & Black Panther, finally Loki & Mantis. Magneto, Wolverine and Emma look into the sky, a crystal swirl is seen. The wedding ring shows a reflection of Cyclops as it enters a whirlpool. The Marvel Rivals logo appears and we cut to Rogue and Gambit in their hero attire. They are seen standing on a giant chess board with a giant mysterious figure in the background.

Before the Timestream Entanglement tore their world apart, Gambit and Rogue were ready to say “I do” on Krakoa. But destiny intervened. Now, Gambit sets out on a daring cosmic heist to steal the universe’s rarest ring – and win back the moment time itself stole from them.

Across galaxies ruled by the Elders of the Universe, their bond will be tested by lies, power, and impossible choices. Can love survive when even time turns against it?

Additionally, AJ LoCascio and Lenore Zann known for voicing Gambit and Rogue respectively in X-Men ‘97 will reprise their roles in Marvel Rivals. Gambit will be playable at the launch of Season 5 on November 14th followed by Rogue at the launch of Season 5.5 in December.
