Here’s what we know about Marvel Cosmic Invasion, the upcoming 2D beat ‘em-up from Tribute Games in collaboration with Marvel Games as of October 2025.
Marvel Cosmic Invasion is an upcoming 2D beat-em-up title coming from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge developers, Tribute Games. The reveal trailer debuted at the March 27th, 2025 Nintendo Direct which was also the final direct that showcased games coming to the 1st generation of Nintendo Switch Systems. The reveal trailer showcased the invasion of Annihilus on Earth and how heroes from all corners of the Marvel universe have assembled to take on this new threat. You can view the trailer below:
Marvel Cosmic Invasion will see heroes from all different walks of like band together to face off against the infamous Annihilus and his army as he threatens to destroy Earth and the rest of the galaxy. The game features a tag-team mechanic where players can choose two heroes to swap to at any given time. Additionally, through local or online play, four players can team up to save the world together. Read the official synopsis below:

Who’s in the Marvel Cosmic Invasion Roster?
Marvel Cosmic Invasion has a confirmed roster of fifteen characters. Throughout the year at various gaming conventions we’ve learnt about thirteen of those heroes. Only two heroes are yet to be revealed and with New York Comic Con approaching next week, it’s possible that the full roster will be revealed soon. See the current list of confirmed heroes below:

- Phyla-Vell
- Nova
- She-Hulk
- Rocket Raccoon
- Beta Ray Bill
- Silver Surfer
- Cosmic Ghost Rider
- Black Panther
The first seven heroes (Captain America, Spider-Man, Venom, Wolverine, Storm ,Phyla-Vell, Nova) were revealed during the announcement trailer in the March 27th Nintendo Direct. She-Hulk and Rocket Raccoon were revealed as the eight and ninth heroes at the Summer Game Fest 2025 followed by the reveal of Beta Ray Bill and Silver Surfer as the tenth and eleventh heroes at San Diego Comic Con 2025. Two weeks ago we’ve also seen the reveal of Cosmic Ghost Rider and Black Panther.
The game also features its fair share of villains. In addition to Annihilus, players will face off against many familiar faces such as Taskmaster, Thanos and Hela.
Marvel Cosmic Invasion is developed by Tribute Games in collaboration with Marvel Games. The game is coming to Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4/5, and Xbox Series Systems in 2025.
