We cut to a lantern with a storm of sorts in the background, a pink beam shoots out of one of the buildings. Finally, we see a large tentacle with eyes, it lets out a large roar and the teaser ends with an image of the Fortnite island, a red X is seen over Demon’s Domain.

What Is Super Showdown About?

The story of Chapter 6 begins when a shard of the zero point crashes on the island awakening a dormant force in the Spirit Realm who access the island via portals. This chapter revolves around Jade, Daigo and Kendo who are descendants of magical mask makers. Due to its immense power, mask making was forbidden until Daigo broke that rule. During season one, Jade is trapped in the Spirit Realm and we learn that Demons have taken hold of the zero point shard. Daigo is the only one powerful enough to free Jade and he eventually succeeds in freeing Jade after a deadly battle with the demon known as Shogun X.

Gold begins spilling from the gate and that begins Chapter Two, “Lawless”. In this season, Daigo is obsessed with claiming the Zero Point Shard and as a result teams up with a crime boss known as Fletcher Kane who’s sole focus is power and riches. Daigo is successful in entering the spirit realm however he becomes corrupted by the dark forces.

After a brief Star Wars event, a spirit gate was struck during the destruction of the Death Star. A wave of energy was spread across the island changing a number of individuals, namely those in a battle bus set to come crashing down. That’s before Superman swoops in to save them. Hope alongside Jones, Superman, and Robin became the headmasters to Supernova Academy, a place to train this new wave of heroes. After a suspicious student does some investigating, we learn that Midas funded the Academy and has allied himself with Hope to secure the zero point shard.

It’s also important to note the events of the Fortnite OG Season 4 Blast Off event which was altered slightly when a red rift butterfly appeared causing the Crack In The Sky to turn red. Red rifts have also appeared throughout the OG Island sending various landmarks to other game modes such as Tomato Head in Battle Royale, Durr Burger in Blitz Royale and the Motel sign in Reload.
