‘Fortnite OG’ Season 4 Live Event: How To Watch
It’s time to go back to where it all began in the first Fortnite live event this Saturday.
When Fortnite OG became a permanent mode, Epic Games announced that players will be able to relive past live events, a concept that began in Fortnite’s fourth season and have been a staple at almost every season’s end. Live Events are primarily used to advance the game’s lore, teasing upcoming seasons and sometimes being used as a means to transition to a new map. With Fortnite OG in Season 4, it’s time for players to once again experience the “Blast Off” live event.
On July 26th at 11:00 AM PT / 2:00 PM ET, players both old and new can experience the Blast Off event in the Fortnite OG game mode. As with any other live event it’s recommended that you log in at least half an hour beforehand.
When it first debuted, the event was teased through loading screens which players can earn through challenges. It hinted at the arrival of The Visitor who emerged from the meteor that crashed into Dusty Depot and formed Dusty Divot. On the day of the event, the rocket ascended to the skies from the Villain Lair located next to Snobby Shores. The rocket would then come back down to the island, laser beams pointed at Titled before it was rifted away and sent to Moisty Mire. The rocket would fly around the map until a new rift formed at Greasy Grove sending the rocket back to the skies from Loot Lake. Upon its ascent, the rocket created a giant rift after hitting the sky known as the “Crack In The Sky”.
Things are slightly different this time around, while the map remains the same, The Visitor which arrived in the Fortnite OG Season 4 Battle Pass is from a different reality, how this new version of the character impacts the outcome of the upcoming event will be revealed tomorrow.
Fortnite is developed by Epic Games and is available for free on all platforms. The OG “Blast Off” event begins on July 26th at 11:00 AM PT / 2:00 PM ET in the Fortnite OG game mode.
