For Amazon MGM Studios, the film follows black ops operative Levon Cade (Jason Statham), who retires to live a straight-edge life as a construction worker. When his boss’ (previous Ayer collaborator Michael Peña) daughter (Arianna Rivas) is kidnapped by human traffickers, Cade intervenes. The trailer sees him embark on his journey with lots of carnage and seek some help from another Ayer alumnus, David Harbour

David Ayer is known for his films about corruption, gang crime, and other related themes. He’s most known for the poorly received Suicide Squad film but has written scripts for acclaimed films such as Training Day, The Fast & The Furious, and Fury. He co-wrote A Working Man with legendary screenwriter and actor Sylvester Stallone, who returns to the writing scene after having not written a movie since 2019’s Rambo: Last Blood
