What Happens In Circe’s Vision Of Princess Rostovic In ‘Creature Commandos’ Episode 4? (Breakdown)
The latest episode of Creature Commandos housed a huge secret, a scene that changed the status quo of the DC Universe and gave a first look at several DC heroes.
The first three episodes of Creature Commandos set Circe (Anya Chalotra) up as an antagonist that the Creature Commandos (Rick Flag, The Bride, Weasel, G.I. Robot, Doctor Phosphorus, Nina Mazursky) had to fight in order to protect the sweet Princess Rostovic (Maria Bakalova). The end of the third episode showed that Circe had her reasoning to torment the princess- to save the world as we know it. Read below to find out all the details about Circe’s vision in Creature Commandos.
In episode four, titled “Chasing Squirrels”, Circe explains her motives to Amanda Waller (by way of clairvoyant vision). This vision houses some brand-new looks at heroes who are yet to make their debuts in the universe, as well as some brutal imagery.
The vision opens up with Princess Rostovic in a battle suit of armour, with two scars stretched across her face. This version of Ilana has seen some war, with her hair messy and unkempt and a pout on her face. The shot zooms out, and several Pokolistan Amethyst Knights take jets and leave the Pokolistan kingdom at the order of the princess, and begin to drop nuclear weapons on unsuspecting countries at will, destroying anyone within range, starting with New York City.
The next shot positions itself from within a pit of people looking up grasping for help. At the edge of this pit is the Princess and a gorilla, who I believe to be none other than the Flash rogues gallery villain, Gorilla Grodd. The character does not receive any voice lines so is left uncredited. The Pokolistan Guard begin firing on this crowd of people, forming a mass grave. Another scene shows other Knights firing on mothers, who are fleeing holding newborn babies.
Rostovic and her guards lay siege on the White House, killing all within and taking a seat in the Oval Office. While sitting at the desk, Ilana’s viewpoint transitions to a new scene, which gives us our first look at many new DC characters.
Every DC Character Shown In Circe’s Vision From Creature Commandos
The vision takes us to a battlefield, littered with dead bodies and pikes impaling recognizable figures in DC lore. The first and most prominent one is Superman / Clark Kent (who is played by David Corenswet in the DCU but not voiced here). Flanking him is our very first look at the DCU Wonder Woman and Batman, both also impaled. We can’t see the Batman suit, considering the cape is hanging over the shoulders but we do get a look at a pretty point looking cowl.
Also on the battlefield are characters that look to be a Robin, a Flash, Vigilante (played by Freddie Stroma in the Peacemaker series), Hawkgirl (played by Isabel Merced in Superman), Teen Titans member Starfire, Peacemaker himself (played by John Cena in The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker).
Finally, a blood-soaked Ilana laughs while looking at Superman’s cape stretched out into a flag, ala The Death of Superman.
Since Ilana Rostovic is an original character, there is not much precedent about what could possibly happen if the evilness of her character were to be fully explored, but by the looks of it, she seems to be cold-blooded.
Creature Commandos episode four is now streaming on Max. The episode starred Maria Bakalova as Ilana Rostivo Sean Gunn as Weasel, Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., David Harbour as Eric Frankenstein, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, Anya Chalotra as Circe, Steve Agee as John Economos, Indira Varma as The Bride, Alan Tudyk as Dr Phosphorus, Zoe Chao as Nina Mazursky, Linda Cardellini as Elizabeth, and Stephanie Beatriz as Isla MacPherson.
