Here’s everything you need to know about Creature Commandos episode release dates, cast, plot and more. The series is the first project set in James Gunn’s and Peter Safran’s DCU.
The series was first announced on January 31st, 2023 in a video titled “Chapter 1 – Gods and Monsters” where James Gunn shared his vision for this new universe. In the video, Gunn explains how DC has been “disconnected” in film and television and how it is now his and Safran’s job to make sure the new DCU is connected in film, television, gaming and animation.
Creature Commandos will be the first animated series in the DCU. Recently, the first animated feature film produced by DC Studios, Dynamic Duo, was announced.
What is Creature Commandos About?
The plot has been kept mostly under wraps except for merch available at SDCC which teased that Task Force M will have to kill a Princess. Earlier this year at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, James Gunn appeared in a video call to talk about Creature Commandos, where he revealed the series will pick up directly after the Peacemaker season one finale.
The synopsis reads as follows:
Creature Commandos tracks a secret team of incarcerated monsters recruited for missions deemed too dangerous for humans. When all else fails…they’re your last, worst option.
What Are The Creature Commandos Episode Release Dates?
Creature Commandos will premiere with two episodes on December 5th, episodes will then be released weekly until January 9th. The series will consist of seven episodes. Find the full Creature Commandos episode release dates:
